Last weekend we visited a Japanese market in Berlin. The organizers decided that since Japan is somewhere far away in the east, there must be a connection to a New Year in China, though Japan celebrates their New Year Eve like a lot of Countries on 1st January. But this does not prevent a crowd of enthusiasts from gathering around cool things and celebrating on a clear Sunday in Treptow-Köpenick.

We also went there, looked at costumes, paintings, ceramics, manga, tried gyoza and nigiri, listened to Japanese traditional music and jazz. And we also took some pictures.
