Analog Adventures

Shortly before buying my Nikon Zf, I happened to get my hands on a film camera from the eighties, a Pentax Super A. It’s charming and authentic, with a manual shutter, and I was thrilled. I started shooting right away, but the pandemic film shortage and the lack of instant results quickly dampened my enthusiasm. My interest never disappeared entirely, but once the new camera arrived, I wanted to document my family’s life and be creative, mostly with the Nikon. The Pentax waited for special occasions, which came very rarely. At some point I realized that the roll I’d started had been sitting in the camera for a year, and the sealed ones were close to their expiration date. There was nothing for it: I had to pull myself together, pick up the camera, and just shoot what I had.
When the photos came back from the lab, the earlier shots had a strong red cast. That happened because I accidentally opened the camera back for a moment while loading the film. A couple of the pictures actually benefited from it.:::
